I had a wonderful stay at the Saint James. The chateau is beautiful and elegant yet cozy and quiet. The room was surprisingly spacious and well equipped including with some treats from Angelina. The service was first class. I emailed the concierge a couple of weeks in advance and they were able to get me into all of the trendy restaurants on my list. Very quick to respond too. I arrived hours before check-in and while my room was understandably not ready, they gave me a spa room to freshen up and change after a long flight. I also loved the neighborhood, the 16th district is charming. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower but isn’t bustling with tourists. Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel, and hope to return again one day!

Amazing. What else can I say, the attention to detail and consistency in service is great, why stay at a giant hotel when you’re greeted by name and feel like home here. I always felt welcomed and cared for. The spa was also a great intimate experience. As for the atmosphere; very well done, it is traditional but not stuffy, the entire space is gorgeous and had lots of little well thought out details that made it feel extra luxurious. Wish the pool was completed when i was there, next time then ;)

I barely know where to start, the Saint James has been an experience for me - on multiple occasions - without rival, but I will start with an introduction. Six years ago I visited the Saint James for my girlfriends 21st birthday, it was a wonderful experience, and I've documented that on a previous review (I have never left a review for any product/service in my life, but I feel physically compelled to write these reviews after visiting the Saint James). Needless to say, I had always hoped to return, and it was an obvious choice when I was starting to plan a proposal. It was a surprise engagement, with an elaborate plan, involving the booking of another hotel to disguise my intention. The staff played into the whole thing and made the whole experience truly delightful. I would like to bring special attention to Jérémy Delfau, who went so far above and beyond that attempting to document every instance of exceptional service would be exhausting. I feel like I could have asked him to fix a leaking sink at my home and he would have happily flown to the UK and washed my laundry as well, nothing was too much hassle, no detail was too minor. I also need to mention Tomas, who was just a delight to interact with, I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations, he was incredibly helpful when deciding what to do in Paris on a limited timescale. Last, but not least, and I'm so sorry for certainly having got his name wrong, is Samuel, who was working on nights. A big part of the surprise was actually revealing that I had in fact booked the Saint James, and Samuel helped me devise a plan, and execute it to achieve that surprise. I feel so privileged to have been able to stay at such a beautiful hotel, surrounded by such wonderful members of staff on two occasions now - I have no doubt there will be many more to come. Please extend my gratitude to each and every member of staff, without whom, I would not have been able to make the weekend as special and as memorable as it was, I will be forever grateful to them.

Simply speechless, we came back to the hotel 10 years after the first time and all I can say is that it is beyond any expectations. Wonderful in all senses!! The renovation is absolutely stunning!

Fantastic hotel - very in line with what you would expect from the Relais and Chateaux brand. The hotel was luxurious yet cozy. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located to walk around Paris.
